Webinar: End of Life Option Act

The California Hospice and Palliative Care Association is hosting a webinar to help those in the hospice and palliative care fields better navigate the End of Life Option Act.

The End of Life Option Act allows mentally capable, terminally ill adults with less than six months to live to seek help with dying. The law will take effect in June 2016. Presenter Dr. David Grube will share and discuss his experiences.

Topics will include

CHAPCA’s webinar will cover several topics pertaining to the End of Life Option Act, including how to:

  • Describe the clinical competencies necessary for participating in the California End of Life Option Act and the requirements of aid-in-dying laws
  • Cite Oregon’s 19-year Death with Dignity Experience
  • Attain the knowledge, resources and tools necessary to develop and discuss hospice policies, procedures, education and training on medical aid-in-dying
