Veterans: Care at End of Life

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization host this webinar discussing the current issues in end-of-life care for Veterans. It is now estimated that 85% of Veterans receive care outside the VA system. Because of this, it is necessary to be prepared to handle their specific needs including the more difficult symptoms of uncontrolled pain, terminal agitation, nightmares and anger.

This is best suited to all those in the end-of-life care treatment roles.

Topics will include

  • Evidence based practice of trauma sensitive yoga, meditation, and other alternative medicine in recovery from PTSD and terminal agitation
  • Identify Veterans receiving hospice care who may be exhibiting delayed PTSD and/or STSD
  • Related diseases, illnesses and health conditions of Veterans from different war eras
