New Rules for Nursing Homes

Although licensing and certification requirements for hospice and nursing home partnerships have been in place since 2013, there has been limited surveyor scrutiny of the relationship because the surveyor guidance for those requirements wasn’t published. As of November 28, 2017, surveyors are being directed to include hospice patients in samples and examine the relationship according to the new guidance. Join National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, NHPCO, for this Webinar, where participants will hear from a regulatory expert at the American Health Care Association regarding all these changes that nursing home providers are experiencing.

Who should attend

Those in hospice and nursing home management roles, professionals, nurses, physicians and all other staff.

Webinar Objectives

Upon completion of this educational webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the changes CMS has made that impact care provided in a nursing home
  • Discuss the surveyor guidance for residents receiving care from a hospice provider
  • Identify potential issues regarding administration of unnecessary medications and anti-psychotics

Event location

Online – 2:00-3:00 PM ET
